Here are some funny observations from watching Hannah: When we play Candyland, even though I try to play by the rules, we end up playing by Hannahs rules, and by is she strict. Her version of Candyland goes like this: 1) Hannah controls the cards. This means she is the only one who can look at them and determine the action. 2) Papa moves the players where he is told. This usually corresponds to the color on the card but not always, it’s a gray area. At night, the dogs are regulars in her room - they keep her safe from monsters. I thought the movie Monsters Inc was supposed to make kiddos feel comfortable around ‘monsters’? Crazy drama when she is separated from Mama. It doesn’t seem to matter if its morning and she is going to work or the evening and she is going to a movie, this is a very dramatic and sensitive time for Hannah. Last night I was just lucky that I had to move the furniture onto the new deck. Letters: Hannah is very good at picking out H’s. I think it is her favorite letter. She is hit or miss with a, b & c; and for the rest of them she flat out guesses. Gurgi is becoming ‘Her’ dog. Both Whitney and Gurgi are hers but Gurgi is ‘Hers.’ This includes:
- babysitting her dolls and if he leaves his post she will tell him about what he is supposed to be doing.
- being led around the house and yard by the collar (which has led to one instance of being dragged for a bit has he took aff after a rabbit the ventured into the yard
- called into her room to be covered with blankets and surrounded by stuffed animals
- I think from Gurgis perspective he gets to follow her around and clean up all of her breadcrumbs that she leaves behind.
