Update: 8-29-2011 - Got word from Swedish Volvo Repair place that they rebuilt/repair option is wacked. The repair place now wants them to pull the alternator, send it in and then they will fix it and send it back. Bradley from swedish says the car is to new and too special. I still dont see how a 2005 is new but thats just me. So much for trying to save a buck (or 100) we are going to get the one from the dealer and take this experience into consideration the next time we buy a car. Julie had an oil change. Linked is the reciept. Julie has had the following observations:
- Last week a bank of warning lights came on.
- Yesterday, after oil change she got a warning light, called swedish and they said its ok, it went away.
- This am warning light came back.
Highlights from the linked doc:
- found corn/a mice nest in the engine block
- They replaced a fuse to eliminate the “Power System Service Urgent” Message
- Checked and cleared codes with vida
- Advised us that we may need to replace the alternator but it tested ok at this time.
- There is a list of error diagnostic codes on the pdf also.
