Make Something Real

After finishing the Gunslingers journey to the tower as the end of the year approaches I am nostalgic for simple times. Times when all there was to worry about is Santas good and bad list and the fun things I could do: read a book, play in the cold woods under a midwestern overcast day and pretend that I was first. They recently released a new version of Blender. It looks like the interface is still advanced but better organized and geared towards the keyboard. That is good, I like the keyboard. Emacs taught me that. This idea is to model William (Stuttering Bill) in Sketchup as they have a better interface for easy 3d drawing and then export the model to rig, animate and render with blender. Use the picture in the book of one of the robots but I like the benign one the best. The scene is one of him cleaning up industrial waste and big sheets of metal and helping travelers into the loading cranes that manage the onboarding process to the space elevator. There is a giant circle of networked roads and buildings in the city around the base and there are several main arteries leading to it from the horizon. The animation is not the beginning of the story. 50 miles away, where the space elevator is still visible.
