I am writing this for two reasons. One so I can remember what I was feeling this weekend as I though about Uncle Stan. Two is so that Hannah or her daughters reading this will understand the importance of relationships that spans time and generations. We are just beginning to touch on the importance of computers and the internet. The personal internet it might be called. Yeah there are a bunch of sites that sell marketing information. Whatever - it can still be manipulated. Think about it. The earliest memory I have of Uncle Stan is at Grandma and Grandpa Iacobucci’s house. It was summertime and there was a fire in Grandpas (What did Luigi call that brick fireplace with a chimney) ??? Anyway, the grapevine and arbor was still up, so wast the apple tree. I can still see it shaded underneath the grape vines. I remember eating something that didn’t taste good. I picked a grape or had gotten something out of the garden and I don’t think I liked it. I had no idea who he was at the time but Uncle Stan asked me if it tasted bad. He gave me a glass and said here, drink this. I can’t remember what it was but I recall the tase of sweetness as I walked to go back under the apple tree thinking about my tall uncle with glasses and the big smile. This ties in with the desire to archive a personal data store that I can pass generationally and give them the ability to give and take the archive to the next generation. When it gets split, should Hannah fall in live, get married and decide to have 2 kiddos. It also need to mutate a bit, for her first child will put new and more relevent information to themself. Email for example - they really don’t need to know their siblings email but they should both have access to mine. It’s a shared history and given freely to the next generation. They should have shared access to my media, this site the pictures and videos and they should also have access to the apology to Hannah I wrote.
