Write a mock mailbox, with a viewer and settings page. Start the UI in full text+icon+button. Script protractor to simulate hundreds of clicks and interactions with the UI. Watch the text and buttons fade away; compare that to the buttons and icons and then run one more where the icons and buttons disappear.
